I had three pieces of beech with a lovely grain. I made all three into Pot puri holders and turned a hollow bowl on the lathe with a hold just the right size to hold the pewter pot puri lids, which I had already bought from "Axminster". My Mum has one on the window shelf of her downstairs loo and it does a lovely job of making a pleasant smell and looking lovely. I am offering this to somebody who will cherish it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Full description

A beech Bowl with a lovely swirling wood grain, hollowed out on the lathe and left with an opening just the right size for a lift off pewter lid that has air holes to allow the scents of the Pot Puri to circulate through the lid.

135 mm diameter x 86 mm tall x 605 grams weight. ( I would expect it to be put up on a shelf away from the reach of small children, who usually try to eat anything and everything, in my experience, especially colourful flowers in Pot Puri: but you will obviously be mindful of the risks)
