An original hand pulled chine colle print using an etching press.

Dry point etching is a method by which I etch the image onto an acrylic plate using a very sharp tool which looks like a pen, and the etched incisions hold the ink to create an image.
When ready for printing, I ink the plate, wiping to remove any excess ink and I put the plate through a hand pulled etching press with moistened etching paper laid over the top.
This is where the term 'Hand Pulled Print' comes from, as each individual print is inked and pulled by hand through the printing press making each print an original fine art print.
To produce the colour, a piece of coloured paper is applied to the plate prior to printing which adheres to the main printing paper.
No computer or digital printer can reproduce the hand pulled effect!
As the plate is handled and printed it deteriorates, so there are a limited amount of prints that can be pulled.
Each print is signed by myself. Each print is therefore an original piece of art, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The image is 10cm x 10cm.
For your convenience this print comes MOUNTED but UN-FRAMED
It will fit a 12"x12" Ready Made Frame bought from most UK major stores.
It is wrapped in a cellophane sleeve.
It is posted using Royal Mail.
This original hand pulled print is inspired by my love of nostalgia, and a sentimental longing or wistful affection for a period in the past.
This is a hand pulled print of an old fashioned rocking horse, the type many people will remember from the past.
I really like vintage toys.
There is a special look to them, well loved and treasured possessions, with many memories attached.
I think that this print would look lovely hanging in a nursery, or simply make an ideal gift for someone who loves vintage as much as I do.
