About Debbie Todd Studio

Debbie Todd Studio

I make hand pulled original prints using an etching press involving lots of ink.

I trained as an Illustrator at Arts University Bournemouth.
Since moving to our home on the Welsh Marches, I have been able to re-kindle my love of art, and I did a printmaking course recently and I have fallen in love with printmaking.

I love the sketchy, loose, drawing style of drypoint printmaking, where-by I incise onto the printing plate directly with a sharp pen-like tool. The results once inked and run through the press are akin to sketches in my sketchbook.

In contrast I also love the graphic, clean look of lino cut print making. The finished result so solid and bold.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work.
