I adore Dendrite Opal with all its unique markings and love the natural, organic feel you get when using these nuggets in kumihimo.

Full description
This pretty bracelet has been made by hand using the Japanese technique kumihimo.
It has been created by threading on nuggets of Dendrite Opal onto 8 strands of cream coloured S-Lon cord. I have then brought all 8 strands together using the above technique.
Dendrite Opal is a form of Opal that has dark dendritic markings that often appear to be shaped like mosses or ferns.
The cords have been finished with silver plated end caps and the bracelet is finished with a silver plated toggle clasp with a twisted design.
The width of the beaded braid is approximately 12mm (1/2") so is a chunky style bracelet that is an ideal fit for a 7 1/2" wrist.
Kumihimo is Japanese for 'gathered threads' and was first done as a form of finger-loop braiding that has since evolved into a form of braiding that can be done using only cords, or with beads added into each knot.
