I have had this knitting pattern for years. I think I bought it in a charity shop, but can't be sure.
The thread is absolutely gorgeous, and unparalleled in quality. Us stitchers mourn the loss of Sylko, other threads claim to be the 'modern equivalent', but they are not.
The envelope is made by Waverley in Scotland. I bought it in a charity shop, last year. I did a little online research to try and find when it was made. I had no success, but looking at the presentation box, it came in, I would guess late 70s or early 80s.
The white card is beautiful, but only partially recycled. I bought it in bulk about ten years ago before I went full-on eco. It makes no sense to leave it unused.
You can see the envelope packaging, plus other information, on my blog (alisonsye.wordpress.com/2017/06/06/some-old-men), where I have more space to write more stuff.
Follow the making of my work on Instagram and YouTube, if you like that sort of thing.
Thanks dropping by,
Alison

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

This card is unique, there is no other the same.
It is handmade from a knitting pattern (c1965, Robin 1341). I have used the actual document (see above photograph), not a copy, so this image is approximately 52 years old.
The 'tash man' has been hand-stitched using my most precious Sylko thread, the nicest I have ever had the privilege to use.
It measures 10.5 x 14.5cms (when folded) and comes with a vintage grey Waverley envelope. There is a small amount of pink tissue inside.
I have used high quality 280g recycled card, which feels pleasingly weighty in the hand.
It is blank, for your own message, although would be good for retirement or birthday.
All of my work is individually numbered. This piece is 823.
Standard First Class postage is included in the price, within the UK. If you would like to pay extra for 'signed for' delivery, please send me a message.
Please note, if you live outside the EU you may be responsible to pay import duties or taxes, in accordance with your country's customs laws.
In keeping with my environmentally friendly ethos, your package will arrive on your doormat in an envelope sewn from old magazines.
