I've always been fond of the traditional Norwegian and Swedish designs for bowls so when a clean log of fallen Cherry Wood came my way it was an easy choice to set to work creating this piece. It is a bit more elaborate than the traditional dough bowls and ale bowls but that's my mark on the old established style in this case.
As with wooden spoons, it only needs rinsing, wiping and drying after use. Every now and then when dry, rub in a fresh coat of walnut or linseed oil to replenish the wood. If you intend it for dry use (fruit bowl or as a decorative piece) then it will take a beeswax polish and should come up bright.
