This quilt was made to Edyta Sitar's beautiful design from her book 'Friendship Triangles'. She inspired me to do a 'Half Square Triangle Exchange' with the ladies in my quilting group. In total we produced over 2000 half square triangle units measuring 2 1/2" unfinished. Then we swapped them with each other to get a real variety and went on to make our own individual projects. Some of the prints were so different to my own collection, but when they were all blended together and set against a neutral background they produced such a vibrant effect. This really is a one-off!

Designed by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts.
This machine pieced and appliqued quilt was produced as a result of a fun' half square triangle exchange' with friends. Hence the lovely variety of fabrics in the tree tops. The setting fabrics include one of Edyta's own stunning batiks and other top quality Moda fabrics. It is also backed and hand bound with Moda fabrics.
The wadding is Soft & Bright 100% polyester which gives it great body and shows off the free motion machine quilting design.
It measures approx 150cms by 98cms and would look beautiful draped over a chair or hanging on the wall. (Hanging sleeve not supplied but could be added on request).
The quilt can be gently hand washed and air dried.
