The base of the lamp is a fragment from a salvaged wood burning stove. It is cast iron and has some lovely markings from traces of rust. It also has a knob that used to have a function on the stove, but is now a decorative feature. The brass column is part of an old xylophone ensemble, which also shows traces of its age, and has a beautiful serrated surface.
The top part is an unknown object that I thought suited the general theme of the lamp. It is a lovely three pronged brass object with a little wheel on each leg. There is slight damage to one of the legs, which isn't very obvious, but worth mentioning. It is too beautiful an object to omit just because of this.
There is a brass lamp holder at the top with a switch contained within it.
The antique style gold flex is in keeping with the piece, and runs through the holes that used to hinge the door onto the stove.
It is an intriguing kind of lamp, that I think would suit a mantelpiece or shelf due to its dimensions.
The lamp is PAT tested and approved, and the filament bulb is included.
Dimensions: 26 x 10 x 40 cms (with bulb)
An elegant Table Lamp made from three different metal elements combined together.
