Knitting Pattern for the 'Sloane Square' Cushion / Pillow with a big feature cable.
This is NOT a beginners pattern. It does assume that the knitter has some knowledge of how to cast on , bind off , knit , purl , cable and pick up stitches.
This is a design from The Feminine Touch designs featured in "The Knitter" magazine 2016. This stunning cushion is 16" x 16" square with a centre cable feature showing off the intricacies of cabling. The centre front panel is worked by knitting a standard ribbed cable with a larger number of stitches than normal and by working the cable away from the two side panels, thus forming triangular holes at each side of the cable twist. These holes are filled in with stocking stitch, worked in a contrasting colour and perpendicular to the cable.

Yarn Stories Fine Merino and Baby Alpaca Aran (Aran weight; 70% wool, 30% alpaca).
1 x 50 gram ball of Anthracite (
5 x 50 gram balls of your colour choice
4.5 mm (US 7, UK 7 ) needles
