This antique bronze coloured retro themed kilt pin brooch is decorated with a glass cabochon featuring an image of white lilies against a turquoise blue background. Also used in this brooch are three antique bronze charms (a dragonfly, and two little hearts) and a selection of beads in turquoise to tone in with the cabochon image. The beads featured in this brooch include three turquoise Czech glass flower beads, and two Czech glass fire polish beads, also in turquoise and decorated with antique bronze bead caps.

The brooch is 5cms (2ins) wide and 5cms (2ins) high (this is the length of the longest dangle).

Each of my kilt pin brooches is designed around a particular theme. For this one, the starting point was the image of the lilies that I used for the cabochon. The dragonfly charm came next, because it just seemed to go so well with the lilies. I then found the lovely little turquoise beads to tone in with the background colour of the cabochon image. The heart charms have become a sort of signature and I usually try to include one or two of them somewhere in my designs.
