This tiny little poetry book has been written by one of my bunnies, Mr. Beau Brambles. He has printed it himself, and his photo adorns the cover.
Mr. Beau Brambles is following in the footsteps of Clover, who has already had many of his poems published. Beau, however, is a very different character to Clover.
There are seven poems in this little booklet.
Clover used to write about anything relating to bunnies and their characters. He sadly passed away in 2016, but I am still discovering poems that he had written and hidden away in different places.
Beau prefers to write about one topic only – poop!
As all rabbit slaves know, poop is a very important subject. We study the size, colour, quantity – and panic if none is forthcoming! Beau felt that his poems needed to be shared with a wider audience than just me, Nanny Pat and Aunty Treats, and has given me permission to compile his work into this booklet. He was rather hoping it would be a hardback volume with lots of fancy trimmings….sadly that beyond my budget, as any spare cash goes on hay, dried forage food, herbs etc. When I discussed this with him he agreed that his food was more important than having a posh hardback book.
Beau and I hope that you enjoy these poems. He’s not quite up to Poet Laureate standard yet, but I tell him he just needs to keep practising….
