Full description
This glasses case, which has been entirely hand-stitched, has been cut from a vintage embroidered tablecloth. The original stitching has been repaired and enhanced , using vintage embroidery threads.
A pretty design of hand-stitched daisies has been cut from a vintage, linen tablecloth. Matching the original colours as closely as possible, vintage embroidery threads have been used to one small blue flower to balance the design. the yellow stitching in the center of the daisies has been renewed. The embroidered panel has been folded over a felt inner, to provide some cushioning for your spectacles. The back of the case is a blue printed cotton fabric, backed with fusible interfacing. The case is lined with a floral print on white fabric, backed with iron-on interfacing. The edge of the cover has been finished by hand-stitching in blanket stitch using blue crochet cotton. The case closes with a button-hole stitch loop over a white button.
