I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING ITEMS FROM THIS SHOP TO MY OTHER FOLKSY SHOP 'Lynwoodcrafts' where they will be waiting for you to view them! All my items now feature upcycled, recycled, repurposed or gifted materials and there is no longer any distinction between the two shops!
Some pretty vintage fabrics, including some Laura Ashley prints, combine with traditional patchwork to make this pretty needlebook.

Lovely, traditional, hand-stitched patchwork, in a carefully chosen selection of blue patterned vintage fabrics, forms the cover of this practical needle case. A lovely gift for a sewing friend!
Six coordinating, printed fabrics in shades of blue and white, have been chosen and cut to form 11 hexagonal patches, plus 2 'half patches'. The edges of each hexagon are folded in over a slightly smaller hexagon cut from heavy interfacing. Each hexagon is backed with white felt and carefully over-stitched round the edges - the backing felt forms the 'lining' of the completed cover. The patches were arranged into a pleasing pattern and adjacent patches carefully hand stitched together. Lengths of white satin ribbon close the needle book with a tied bow. Two pieces of white 'eco' felt (produced from recycled plastic bottles) are securely stitched into the center of the cover to provide 4 'pages' for your pins and needles
