Full description
This brooch is great for adding a bit of fun to jumpers, coats, bags and hats. It would make a lovely token Mothers Day gift.
I've used a combination of techniques including freemotion machine sewing for the main outline of the face onto cream cotton fabric. I've then sewn this to a layer of white lace and green felted wool. The layers have been hand sewn with blanket stitch around the edge with green embroidery thread.
The serious girl has golden yellow hand embroidered bob cut hair and a green necklace.
The size is 5.5cm high by 5cm wide.
There is a catch brooch pin sewn to the back onto pretty flowered cotton fabric.
The brooch will be wrapped in tissue paper and tied with raffia and a small hand made gift tag.
