Y Garn Goch (Red fort)
This woven wall hanging is titled 'Y Garn Goch' which is an Iron Age hill fort in the Brecon Becons National park in Carmarthenshire, sw Wales UK.
Woven by hand using my own hand spun yarn, plant dyed wool and various natural fleeces, this piece has form and lots of texture with just a hint of red, symbolising the hill fort itself.
All wool is from the Welsh hills where I live and work.
The driftwood hanger has been found on a beach on the Gower in sw Wales.
Made up using multiples of 17"
Driftwood 35" wide
Wall hanging 17" wide X 52" long (including fringing)
This is unique one off piece and will not be produced again.
Please contact me if you have any questions or you would like a custom order.
Inspired by my view, I have woven this wall hanging using Welsh wool.
