Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

Full description
This pretty little floral piece, hand-stitched onto unbleached calico, depicts a vase full of flowers in bloom.
The vase itself is cut from a cotton fabric, as are some of the flowers, with the remainder being hand-stitched. The image is embellished with beads, sequins and French knots and the message ‘Flowers for You’ is stitched around the vase in a deep pink chain stitch.
The piece is presented in a white wooden box frame measuring 12cm x 12cm, with the aperture 7.5cm x 7.5cm and the frame depth 3.5cm. (All measurements are approx.)
PLEASE NOTE the frame will be posted with its glass front; this was removed for the photographs.
