Teddy, is a knitted and crocheted child's beanie hat, for ages approx 6 to 10 years.
Although would also fit a small adult as photographed on an adult manikin head as well as a child manikin to show its versatility.
The cream yarn for the knitted portion of the hat, has been knitted in simple knit and pearl columns, this yarn is a thick wool and acrylic blend yarn, so soft and warm. The Golden yellow eyelash yarn used for the ears and around the edge of the hat is 100% acrylic.
This lovely hat is washable with care in cool water, but I would suggest handwashing and shaping whilst damp.
The beanie is a classic style with a fun teddy twist, not only warm but cute too. Knitted on medium needles and the frill edge Crocheted on a medium hook to give a soft stitches and allowing the hat stretch as needed. The knitted body of the hat is sewn together at the sides and then the crochet detail added afterwards.
The hat is designed to fit a child of approx 6 to 10 years, but that would depend on your child and how slouchy you want the hat to look, it would also fit an small adult as a tighter fitted hat.
I thoroughly enjoy creating useful and unusual items with yarn. Knitting and crochet are so relaxing! This lovely hat will go with so many outfits, perfect for the autumn & winter seasons & any one who loves unique & bespoke items.
