Golden Wedding Anniversary Card, One Of A Kind

Golden Wedding Anniversary Card, One Of A Kind
Love this

Lovingly handmade from a photograph, dated July 1967, this card is totally unique. There is not another the same in the whole wide world.

The image is hand sewn onto high quality 280g recycled card, which feels pleasingly weighty in the hand. These things are important.

The photograph is 50 years old this year, as am I, so it shows a little wear and tear, as do I.

As well as Valentine, it would also make a good Golden Wedding Anniversary card, what with the 50 years thing.

It measures 10.5 x 14.5cms (when folded) and comes with a vintage grey Waverley envelope. There is a small amount of pink tissue inside.

All of my work is individually numbered. This piece is 814.

Standard First Class postage is included in the price, within the UK. If you would like to pay extra for 'signed for' delivery, please send me a message.

Please note, if you live outside the EU you may be responsible to pay import duties or taxes, in accordance with your country's customs laws.

In keeping with my environmentally friendly ethos, your package will arrive on your doormat in an envelope sewn from old magazines.

Please note the 'oops' on the inside. See above image.

I bought some old photographs in an antique shop in Margate last year, and have been wanting to put them to good use ever since.

This photograph is dated July 1967. I felt compelled to buy it as I was just a few months old when it was taken.

I like it as the lady is wearing a dress very similar to the ones my mam used to make herself when I was little. I imagine this dress is handmade, too. None of our 'throw away' society in those days. No Sir!

The envelope is made by Waverley in Scotland. I bought it in a charity shop, quite recently. I did a little online research to try and find when it was made. I had no success, but looking at the presentation box, it came in, I would guess late 70s or early 80s.

You can see the envelope packaging, and the back of the photograph, plus other information, on my blog (, where I have more space to write more stuff.

Do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Thanks for coming,
