As always.... just rinse, wipe and let it dry to best care for a wood spoon. Don't leave it soaking in hot dishwater or destroy it in a dishwasher machine...it doesn't enjoy or need such zeal. Every now and then (probably once a month when in daily use), I rub some cooking oil into mine when it has dried to replenish the wood.
They darken up over time and take on a friendly familiar personality. Almost as much fun as a cat!

A handcarved scoop which will do for spices, sugar, condiments or anything of that ilk.
The spoon profile follows the branchwood shape and I left areas of the sapwood intact to great effect.
The spoon is about 7 inches long and the bowl capacity is about 2 normal teaspoons.
Finished with culinary grade linseed oil.
