I call this a tortoise but it can be a turtle if you prefer.

Full description
A stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Tortoise, in rainbow colours. It could just as easily be a Turtle, entirely your choice.
A new design in summer 2014..
The body is heavily textured teal glass.
The shell is made from all the colours of the rainbow with lots of different textured glass, to give it movement. The shell is bordered with twisted wire for strength and interest. Very cute.
This is 12.5cm long by 8cm high.
It is a very bright and beautiful piece and will enhance any window and cast its colours across the room when the sun shines through.
The tortoise hangs from a silver chain which is securely attached to the top of the shell by a soldered wire ring.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
The 5th photo shows the previous version I made so you can see each is unique though to the same design.
