Full description
The pendant measures 40mm by 30mm. It is mounted on a silver plate 45cm curb chain that fastens with a simple bolt ring.
I have built up a base of clear enamel on the copper shape. I then scattered a thin coat of white on the pendant. When that was fired the copper beneath showed through. Over the white coat I put rods of orange and green enamel then drew a steel tip through them while the pendant was red hot in the kiln to generate the unique pattern. The copper base shimmers in tones of golden brown depending on the direction and intensity of light striking the pendant.
