I love pubs. Always have. I have memories of having a coke and a packet of crisps with my dad and brothers before going home for Sunday dinner and I loved the atmosphere of the local pubs. Kelham Island has the best pubs and beer and I have spent a happy evening strolling between them sampling many halves! I was wandering around in the daytime looking for a good drawing spot and sat and drew this on a sunny day. At home out of the wind, I collaged it up and then scanned it in with some recent painted papers and went for a warm and welcoming colour scheme. It seems to do well at stalls and looks really nice all framed up too.

Full description
This colourful depiction of The Chimney House in Kelham Island is one of my favourite illustrations of a great place in Sheffield. Lots of lovely evenings have been spent in Kelham Island at the brilliant pubs.
The illustration was adapted from a collage that I created on site. I made it using scanned in paint and inks and my original drawing using photoshop. Kind of like creating a collage digitally.
The size of an A4 print is 29.5cm x 21cm and has a 2cm border around the edge of the image, making it ideal for framing. It is also hand signed in the bottom, right corner underneath the title Kelham Island.
I print my illustrations locally to a professional finish. I use a 210gsm, uncoated matte paper. This shows up the textures within my work well and has a lovely, quality feel to the paper.
I post my prints in a hard backed envelope, wrapped in a cellophane wrapper to ensure that it arrives to you in top condition.
