This is an original mixed media image in watercolour, gouache and pencil on a collage of brown paper to represent sand and tissue to suggest water. The shells were collected on the island of Lindisfarne (Holy Island) and the painting is finished with a sprinkling of the actual local sand. It is mounted in a mottled cream mount, backed with greyboard and will come in a clear presentation bag ready to give as a gift or put straight into an 8" x 10" frame of your choice.
Please note that the colours of the picture mounts are slightly different in this series of collages and they may vary slightly from the colours shown in the photographs.
I love walking along the beautiful wild coast of Northern England. This image aims to capture the beautiful subtle colours and textures of the seashore.
