Full description
A pretty floral nuno felted dress scarf. Designed to drape around the neck this scarf measures approximately 116cm x 38cm (45.5" x 15").
Very fine layers of black merino wool have been nuno felted to both sides of a silk chiffon base fabric, a process which causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. A floral pattern using various silk and woollen fibres has been added to the ends on one side prior to felting. The fineness of the wool layers allows the scarf to preserve the sheer and lightweight nature of the underlying silk whist adding the warmth and softness of the wool.
The scarf comes packaged in a kraft card window presentation box labelled with information about the nuno felting process and washing instructions making it an ideal gift.
Hand wash in warm water, do not wring, roll in a towel to remove excess water and reshape while damp. Press on a warm setting (wool/silk) or using a pressing cloth. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
