I simply love the style of this little piece and felt that a chalk paint makeover was just what it needed. The choice of colours were a combination I've always wanted to try and this little piece seemed perfect for it. I really love stencilling and guilding and putting the two together has worked really well to enhance this items style and appearance. Overall this re-loved renovation has breathed new life into a vintage item that deserved to be a centre piece once more. My vision has been realised.

A stunning little Queen Anne style cabinet which has been loving restored using Annie Sloan chalk paint, then waxed to provide a durable finish. The colours I have chosen are beautiful Paris Grey and the vibrant Provence, a combination which definitely makes this a little statement piece. To add just a little further glamour, the top has been stencilled and then the drawer sides and interiors guilded in shimmering gold Rub and Buff. I decided to keep the original handles because they were just so lovely and their style was just what this little piece needed to add that finishing touch. I did, however, add a touch of gold Rub and Buff to enhance their beauty, it really was all they needed. The whole piece has then been lightly distressed to add a little more vintage flare.
This fabulous little piece would look amazing in a variety of settings , maybe in a hallway, or as a bedside cabinet. It is both attractive and very useful, with a small drawer which could be used for jewellery perhaps and a drop down front which allows access to the larger storage area of the piece.
