An authentic and completely original red faux leather and genuine Edinburgh Weavers pattern crossbody, messenger bag

With a free flowing creativity I hand make each bag in my workshop in Edinburgh and no two bags are the same at Montgomery MacLeod as cut-and-copy patterns are not my style.

I try to be as ecologically sound as I can. The overuse of plastics I try to avoid so 1 button it is! Also, animals are my friends so I use high quality vegan leather. It's kinder to the environment than the production of leather and no beautiful eyed beasts need to be harmed.

The bag has a cheeky bird and leaf design lining with inner pocket for phones or keys and one main storage area. The flap is secured using the handmade button and the adjustable strap incorporates the same inner lining material on the underside.

Each bag starts with finding and falling in love with a fabric which I'll colour match to other materials, then I'll let the sewing machine sing!

This bold, red, faux leather was crying out to be paired with the beautiful fabric I had in the studio from Edinburgh Weavers.

Edinburgh Weavers has always been synonymous with cutting-edge design and groundbreaking textile manufacturing and this design is true to course.

The design reminds me of an impressionist's watercolour painting and keeps the interest of the eye beautifully.
