Full description

Like most people I love flowers - but I like them best when they grow wild. The mix of colours and shapes and sizes - amazing! This is what inspired me to stitch this hoop. I like to draw a quick sketch first, just to get the idea down onto paper. However, the embroidery always seems to take on a life of its own once I start sewing.

I've used quality DMC threads and the design has been sewn onto a piece of blue (it's a difficult shade of blue to describe!) linen backed with white cotton (to support the stitching). The embroidery comes ready to hang in a wooden hoop which measures 4 inches across. As you can see from the photograph it can also be propped up on a shelf as an alternative.

I never glue my embroideries into the hoops but stitch them securely at the back and neaten them off with another piece of fabric. I also pad them out slightly.

All of my designs are my own and I very rarely stitch the same design twice - so you really are purchasing a one-of-a-kind piece of textile art. A great gift for someone who loves flowers and nature or a special treat for yourself!
