This beautifully bright and colourful bowl includes 2 shimmering dragonflies darting across a crystal blue pool and would make a stunning sideboard or table centrepiece. Each bowl in the ‘flight and flowers’ collection is unique and completely made by hand, making this unusual and beautiful gift genuinely one of a kind. A combination of sparkling aquamarine and clear glass has been fused to mimic water in the pool.
Each piece is kiln fired twice. In between firings a minimum of 3 coats of glaze is carefully applied to promote depth and the illusion of movement.
Please note photographs show the background as pure white. The glaze finish is actually off white with a slight speckled finish. The nature of this glaze is that it shifts during firing creating different coverings and textures. The close up pictures are more representative of the finish. If you would like to see anymore pictures, please message me and I’ll try not to take them in full sun this time!
The approximate size of this bowl is height 4 cm and diameter 20 cm

Each piece is designed to reflect the beauty of nature, whether this is the delicate beauty of the British countryside or the bolder beauty experienced in warmer climes. It’s hoped that the flight and flowers collection will bring you happy thoughts, provoke warm memories and opportunities to daydream wherever you are.
I’ve been obsessed with dragonflies from an early age and will happily put them on anything I make. This beautifully coloured glass just gave me another excuse to do just that.
