I love the history of vintage suitcases.
Battered and bruised, each one tells a story.
Originating from the 1960s, this suitcase is well travelled and shows signs of wear and tear, with a few scuffs consistent with its age.
These add to its vintage character.
The perfect shape for a pet bed, this vintage suitcase would add a touch of groovy sixties charm to any home.
PLEASE NOTE:
As the lid has been gently padded on the inside it is now a decorative feature of the pet bed.
This means the suitcase can no longer be completely closed, as this would damage the decorative edging.

Full description
This is a quirky pet bed, suitable for cats or smaller dogs.
It is made from a vintage 1960s suitcase, relined and padded.
The internal measurements are:
50cm x 27.5cm, with a depth of 12.6cm.
(19.5 inches x 10.75inches x 5 inches)
The lining fabric is a cotton with a groovy zigzag design.
It is backed with a layer of cotton wadding, with a red bias binding trim around the lid.
There is a retro black and white design cotton trim around the base of the suitcase, with white daisy embellishments.
The large base cushion is made from a black and white polka dot cotton.
There is a deep envelope opening to the rear, which is the same fabric as the front.
This suitcase bed comes with two additional large cushions.
The bigger cushion features zingy stripes.
It has a removable cover, with a deep envelope opening to the reverse.
The reverse is a black and white poka dot cushion.
The smaller cushion is groovy zigzags, backed with black and white polka dots, also with a removeable cover.
All three cushion covers can be gently hand washed or specialist dry cleaned.
