Welcome to my Folksy shop in which you will find a variety of hand-stitched accessories for you and your home, many of which make lovely (and easy-to-post) gifts. I stitch in a variety of styles, combining traditional embroidery with other textile techniques such as felting, weaving, hand dyeing and silk painting. Vintage linens and fabrics re-stitched into unique gifts and accessories may be found at my second Folksy shop 'LynwoodcraftsRecycled' where you will also find vintage sewing supplies including vintage lace.
The front of this purse is hand crocheted to represent a meadow landscape. An autumn tree, fallen leaves, a distant hedgerow and tiny sheep have been hand embroidered using a mixture of wools and cotton threads.
The back of the purse has been stitched from a red, blue and white fabric. The back panel is backed with iron-on interfacing for some structure. The lining is machine stitched, from a blue white and yellow striped fabric, and the zip machine stitched to the lining. The purse outer is hand stitched and then hand-stitched to the assembled lining.
Width (excluding seems) - 10 cm approx.
Height (excluding seems) - 9 cm approx

Something of an experiment - a wish to combine sheep with an original purse.
