I am really interested in the traces and memories of landscapes, and how different imprints and histories are created by our interaction with it, and also the different plants and leaves that live and die in it. This is part of my botanical series of abstract prints exploring this theme.

Full description
This is a gold, brown and green print made from real organic botanical matter and creating their imprints and textures in plates which are then sealed, inked, and passed through press to create a one off unique handmade natural print.
I created this using Ivy leaves that I collected from the woodland path on my early morning walk and then used these and various other tools to create textures in plaster to form an abstract representation of the landscape. This also gives it a three dimensional aspect.
I ink it using oil based safe wash inks which are environmentally friendly, with green brown and gold inks to create shimmer and colours of autumn.
The image size is appx 10 X 16 cm and is on archival acid free velvety printing paper with a large margin appx 25 X 35 cm. This will look good framed in a vintage brown or gold frame either mounted or unmounted, and will brighten up any corner of the house. As light will fall on it at different times of the day, it will glimmer and shine in various different ways.
