applique & freehand embroidered zombie lady notebook cover with A6 sketchbook.
this cheeky zombie girl is wearing a pretty grey linen dress with liberty print floral cotton detail to the sleeves, collar & bodice. her bloodshot eyes contrast with her deathly pale blue linen face.
her eyeballs are hand embroidered.
blood spattered (it’s fabric paint, honest!) cotton & linen fabrics are layered & appliqued onto cotton calico, and the details are embroidered freehand.

this cover is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine. everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the slipcover is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with vilene.
the calico cover is washable and re-usable, simply replace the A6 sketchbook when it's full. the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK. they are quality casebound hard cover books, containing 92 pages of 140gsm acid-free, all media cartridge paper.
my design is based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, and is used under license.
