I love the sea and the waves, and watching the surfers. It is so exciting and exhilirating and I wanted to capture some of the images of seaside over the summer and the sense of movement in this print. It is done in my typical illustrative style rather than intended as a true photographic representation. I also wanted to create a design that will bring back some of the memories of summer and warm us all inside when it is raining outside and the winter cold spreads through the house. The clear blue sky, the light clouds and the seagulls in the distance give a meditative calming feel which provides a perfect juxtaposition to the movement of the waves.

Surfing themed Linocut handprinted and handburnished in my home studio using oil-based inks on smooth Zerkall paper in calming blue.
Capturing the thrill of finding the perfect wave and the calmness and solitude of being out on the water.
Image size is 15 X 20 cm with a generous margin for framing.
Signed and numbered and titled on front.
I print very small editions and each print is unique.
