I spend a lot of time researching Victorian and vintage flower jewellery to get inspiration for my designs. This piece was inspired by Victorian and Edwardian jewellery when chokers were very popular, particularly when on a velvet ribbon. In this colourway it also shows the influence of Steam Punk and Goth jewellery and fashion.

Full description
This piece of origami jewellery is a deep purple rose measuring 2 cm across and accentuated with deep green leaves form the focal points of this Victorian inspired choker. The rose is on a circular antique silver effect pendant bezel with the measurement of 2 1/2 cm and hangs from a 1 cm wide black velvet choker. The choker measures 35 cm in length and has an extension chain of 5 cm. The ends of the velvet are finished with antique silver effect findings.
The rose and leaves have been given several coats of a good quality aerosol varnish which means that as well as having a beautiful gloss finish the rose is strong and the whole pendant is water resistant.
Please note that the actual colour of the rose is a deep rich purple, similar to that used by a certain chocolate firm in its packaging but this made the colour difficult to capture during photography.
