I loeved the idea of using old OS maps for their decorative quality - taken in small sections they become like minature abstracts. Each piece is also slightly different and until folding is finished I am not sure how they will work.
I also make other earrings and pendants from old OS maps

Full description
Unusual origami necklace consiting of three carefully folded and varnished leaves each measuring 2 1/2 x 4 cm and made from pieces of a genuine vintage OS map. The leaves are attached to a short length of gold coloured chain to form a pendant which hangs from a matching gold chain measuring 75cm.
This item is made to order and each one will be different depending on which part of the map the leaves have been made from.
This one is on a gold plated figaro chain but it can be put onto a silver plated chain (plain or figaro), a plain gold plated chain or a textured antique bronze coloured chain as wanted and the length of the chain can also be altered.
The leaves have been given several coats of a silk finish varnish which gives a gentle sheen to the leaves, makes them firmer so they hold their shape and also adds water resitance.
Matching earrings - either single or triple leaf are also available to order.
