This piece was inspired by a similar piece I made as a commission from a customer. I really like the cottage chic, romantic imagery of birds and birdcages and had toyed with making a piece with that theme for some time. In this piece the bird is free of the cage and flying away from it.

Handmade sterling silver statement necklace with gold leaf details.
Beautiful and romantic piece made from hand cut silver sheet. The birdcage is made from two pieces of silver sheet with gold leaf added behind the bars for contrast.
This particular version of this necklace also has a bird shape cut out of the cage.
Flying away from the cage is a hand cut silver bird. The whole piece is attached to silver belcher chain with a hook clasp and the necklace measures approximately 18 inches.
Designed and made by myself in my studio in Mid-Wales, this piece is hallmarked and comes boxed.
