I currently work at home in what was once the dining room but is now my workshop/office/photo studio. I love making things, I always have and I should think I always will. Because I couldn't imagine doing anything that didn't involve some sort of creativity, after high school I decided to study Fine Art at Coventry University. After graduating in 2009 I was at a bit of a loss as to how I could use my creative talents to make my way in the world and just by chance came across a silversmithing course. That was it, love at first sight I suppose and I haven't stopped making jewellery since.
I find my inspiration from the countryside I live in, I can't get enough of gardens and woodlands and I try to capture some of the beauty and mystery I find in these places in my work.
I like to think of my work as romantic with a hint of glamour and a touch of whimsy.
I am a hopeless romantic and a daydreamer with a slight obsession with period dramas (Who wasn't in love with Mr Darcy growing up?) and murder mysteries (Poirot, Marple, Barnaby...).
I can't talk about me and my work without mentioning my cat Daisy who has been with me since I started my business and keeps me company all day every day. Though she can be a bit of a distraction, she keeps me warm all through the winter and I am now quite adapt now at working with a cat on my lap!
