I love the history of vintage suitcases.
Battered and bruised, each one tells a story.
For pets with a taste for vintage...

This is a quirky pet bed, suitable for cats or smaller dogs.
It is made from a vintage 1940s suitcase, relined and padded.
The internal measurements are:
57cm x 34cm, with a depth of 16cm.
The lining fabric is a blue and white paisley design cotton.
It is backed with a layer of cotton wadding, with a vintage lace trim around the base.
There is a large cushion, in the same paisley design as the base.
It has a removable cover, with a deep envelope opening to the reverse.
The reverse is the same paisley cotton as the front.
There are also two smaller accent cushions.
Both have removeable covers.
One is the same paisley design as the base cushion.
The second cushion has a whimsical cat design.
All three cushion covers can be gently hand washed or specialist dry cleaned.
Originating from the 1940s, this suitcase is well travelled and shows signs of wear and tear, with a few scuffs and marks consistent with its age.
These add to its vintage character.
The perfect shape for a pet bed, this vintage suitcase would add a touch of vintage charm to any home.
PLEASE NOTE:
As the lid has been gently padded on the inside it is now a decorative feature of the pet bed.
This means the suitcase can no longer be completely closed, as this would damage the lace.
