I wanted to make a pretty (in pink) rag doll that was very girly looking. Natalie came up with the name Claudia, because with the heavy looking fringe she said that she reminded her of Claudia Winkleman,

In her best dress, with her favourite shoes, Claudia is ready for her friend's Birthday party. All she has to do now is remember where she put that present.
She is cut from cream cotton, with soft pink felt lips, her facial features are sewn with embroidery thread, she is firmly stuffed with hollow fibre filling.
Claudia's hair is made from back wool with a plait down the back, tied with a pink and white gingham ribbon hair accessory.
Her dress is made from a bright pink raw silk material with gingham cotton sleeves. It has a white nylon frill at the neckline and white plastic buckle at the waist.
Claudia's tights are made from pink and white gingham cotton and her shoes are made from black felt with pink seed bead detail. She also has a black and pink seed bead bracelet on her wrist.
