Full description
The orange tip is such a striking butterfly and a wonderful subject for embroidery. I really loved stitching this one. To show him off (only the males have orange tips!) I've stitched him against a background of forget-me-not like flowers. The blue is really effective against the orange of the wings.
There's so much beauty and diversity in nature that I don't think I'll ever be at a loss for ideas when designing a piece of work like this!
The hoop is 4 inches in diameter and would make a lovely gift - as well as a beautiful and unique piece of textile art to add to your own home decor.
