Heraldic Artist and Calligrapher in Glasgow.
I design and handpaint paint single or double initial letters in colour (or in 23c gold leaf or Palladium leaf for silver) for handmade Birthday or Wedding Anniversary gifts.
As well as handpainted letters, I also have fantasy animal cards, calligraphy placemats and a selection of calligraphy giclée art prints of sayings and quotes including a selection from JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings..

A gold leaf letter looks lovely painted with any floral decoration and it was lovely painting meadow flowers around this one..
We see Daisies and Buttercups in the most ordinary places but when you look at them properly they are beautiful little flowers which shouldn't go unnoticed.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
Initial letter 'F' gilded and burnished in fine 24c gold leaf, handpainted with Daisies and Buttercups on high quality watercolor paper, framed within an ivory mount.
Daisies and Buttercups are flowers of the meadow. The daisy represents Innocence, Purity and the Sun - as their name the 'day's eye' suggests - and the buttercup stands for Prosperity.
Any initial can be gilded with these flowers, if you let me know when ordering which one you need. Also please get in touch before ordering if you would like to have only Daisies or only Buttercups with your gold leaf initial..
Finished size of letter is 36 x 38mm approx. on watercolour paper measuring 120 x 120mm or 4 and 3/4" including the mount
