Taking elements from several lace shawl patterns I used some black suri alpaca that I handspun finely to knit this lovely shawl.
Suri Alpaca is a hollow fibre with smooth silky feel and a lustrous appearance.
Most of those who find it difficult to wear wool find alpaca very comfortable to wear.

This dramatic lace scarf has been handknitted from handspun pure black suri alpaca.
The lustre and silky feel of the suri fibre adds an extra dimension to this special shawl.
This light shawl will be surprisingly warm, and ideal for adding that extra touch to a party or holiday outfit, just enough to take the chill off at a summer evening event, or add drama to a party dress.
At 170cm maximum width and 95cm to the point it will wrap and drape perfectly.
