Full description
Buckles and buttons a textile applique art collage contemporary picture. Titled “Buttons and Buckles" based on articles items found in a dressmakers work box.
Abstract contemporary applique collage that has been decorated with machine stitching to give a lightly quilted appearance. Turquoise, peach and mauve dyed fabric and a tiny amount of commercial patchwork fabric and silk have been used. A hint of gold has been used to decorate the background fabric. When finished the work has been hand stitched to the white canvas and a misting of white acrylic paint applied over the edges.
The work measures 14 x 14 cm and is mounted on a canvas measuring 20 x 20 x 3 cm.
This item has been hand stitched by me and made in a non-smoking and pet free home.
