Full description
This small bottle shaped glass vase has been covered in a delightfully sheer cobweb felt giving it a translucent effect. Hand felted using a natural white (unbleached) merino wool, this cover was made using a resist method so as to fit the contours of the vase perfectly. Strands of brightly coloured silk fibres have been added prior to felting and the felting process causes these to become trapped in the wool.
The vase stands at approximately 22cm tall with a base diameter of 6.5cm. A piece of white commercial felt has been added to the base of the vase.
