There are several species of bowerbird, however this papercut was inspired by the satin bowerbird of Eastern Australia. The male is black with blue eyes, and he has a penchant for anything blue - flowers, stones, berries, fungi, bottle tops, etc., which he arranges carefully in front of his bower in the hope of attracting a female.

Full description
A male satin bowerbird is putting the finishing touches to his stick bower and his collection of blue treasures.
This layered papercut is approx. 20cm x 13cm and is my own original design hand cut with a scalpel using acid free papers ( black 110g Folia Bringmann Scherenschnittpapier and pale blue 80g Colorbase). The first photo shows the papercut in an A4 size frame for your reference.
It will be signed on the reverse and sent to you in a cello bag in an envelope reinforced with card. I aim to post within 3 days of receiving payment.
Note: This papercut is sold unmounted and unframed (as shown in second photo), however for your information Folksy shop JFT Carpentry carries a range of handmade wooden frames and will make specific sizes on request.
