Full description
A twist on the classic pearl necklace. Beautiful mossy green fresh water pearls, with thier golden sheen are the perfect match to the sterling silver vermeil findings used through out this design. Sterling silver vermeil is where 18ct gold is bonded to sterling silver for a durable finish.
The necklace features off round, dyed fresh water pearls that have been teamed with gorgeous Ethiopian Welo Opals. These change their character in different lighting conditions. At times they appear to be clear, then you will get flashes of gold, green and blue when you move. A subtle colour display. These have been added to the necklace design every 5 pearls along and have been flanked with sterling silver vermeil beads.
The necklace has been hand knotted for durability and flexibility. The pearls range in size and shape but average 4x5mm and the opals, which have been hand cut and polished measure 3x4mm approx. Each opal is unique. The necklace measures 52.5 cm or just under 21 inches in length. It fastens with a vermeil lobster claw clasp, stamped 925 for sterling silver
Ideal for special occasions or for everyday wear, this classic necklace would make the perfect gift for someone special.
Opal is the birthstone for October and Pearl is the birthstone for June.
