I really wanted to make something fitting for the Queen of Hearts in this necklace. A choker struck me as ideal - regal and classy, but with the connotation of strangulation. All too fitting for the Bloody Red Queen.
I was also trying to be a bit morbid if I'm honest - I added the hanging hearts with the idea of blood, trying to create the look of someone who's throats been slashed - once again playing on the idea of beheading. I have such a horrible mind really. Still I think the effect is very pretty if nothing else haha.

I saw the trailer for Alice Through the Looking Glass the other day and was inspired to create this lovely necklace. I'm terribly fond of chokers, they can look so striking. That was really my aim with this piece to be very eye-catching.
The beads are a mix of glass and plastic, and the heart charms are make of Tibetan silver.
The necklace measures 17.5cm in total, with a 7.5cm chain. The dangling hearts hang 5cm and 4cm alternately, and measure 1.8cm across each
