Item details

Full length gown with midriff cutout to give the illusion of cropped separates. Bodice adorned with gold foiled vintage crochet pieces, embellished with chips of semi-precious Blue Goldstone. Tie-Dye printed cotton viscose skirts create a sweeping silhouette. A gold foiled, adjustable crochet strap gives a easy fit for a low cut back and delicate hook and bar fastenings. Size Small (size 8).

This dress is designed and made from repurposed fabrics, embellished vintage crochet and semi precious repurposed jewelry embellishments, as my work is concerned with ethically found and reused objects. These handmade garments are designed and created by me in order to support a sustainable movement, as 'Found' is a brand dedicated to bespoke and ethical design, unique creations and a love of the overlooked being made anew.

My idea goes hand in hand with the notion that each bride is unique, and therefore should have a treasured piece of art just as individual as they are.

This particular dress is a one-off, as are all my designs, due to the nature of repurposing. However, I can take bespoke orders for similar styles and sizes or something entirely new on request. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me!

The design behind this piece is intended to capture the visual flattery of a complementing two piece set, with the ease and comfort of the dress it actually is. Inspired firstly by the blue hues of the Majorelle Gardens in Marrakesh, I worked with embellishing found vintage crochet pieces with gold foil and blue goldstone, to create a bodice that I felt was reminiscent of the geometric motifs of the Moroccan architecture and harmonious to the motif of the repurposed tie dye fabric skirts. It resulted in a perfect choice for a festival, a special occasion or a bold Boho bride looking for her 'Something Blue'!
