I was inspired to create seven palettes of colour around each of the colours of the spectrum. Some of the accent colours appear in several of the palettes so they all harmonise with each other. In this way I hope to create components and accessories that can be mixed and matched.

This blue palette was inspired by the pops of colour from flower pots in the blue shadows of Mediterranean white washed walls.

Full description

These earrings feature a stack of double sided polymer clay disk beads on hammered sterling silver wire. The disk beads are royal blue on one side and a complementary colour from my Blue Palette on the other side. The colours include shades of blue, pale grey, purple and yellow. I have stacked the disks so that from below they appear electric blue, and from above the colours are revealed.

The artisan made disks are slightly irregular and include fingerprints for texture and character. I have hammered the ends of the wire pins and used a spiral of finer wire to hold the beads in place to create a modern, minimalist look. I used sterling silver wire for the beads, and titanium for the shepherd's hook ear-wires so they are hypo-allergenic.
