Full description
Each of these little 12 mm x 16 mm (1/2" x 5/8") sterling silver earrings has been hand forged by me at my home in West Sussex. The process of forging involves repeated heating and hammering of the metal to achieve the desired shape, rather than simply casting or cutting sheet metal. It is a fairly labour intensive process, so very few pieces are produced this way by large manufacturers. These shell shaped earrings are fastened by a stud and butterfly fastening at the rear to keep them secure and come neatly packaged in their own gift box.
